To the residents of Burnaby, Thank you

I am humbled and honoured to be acclaimed as Mayor for four more years. It takes a lot of teamwork and collaboration to get things done. For the past four years, we have focused on the priorities you told me were important to you, affordable housing, public safety, community wellness and investing in community infrastructure.

Over the next four years, I am committed to climate action, affordable family housing, reducing traffic congestion, and affordable childcare options in Burnaby. I believe together we can make Burnaby a great place to live for generations to come with jobs and careers to support families that live here.

Thank you to my amazing team for developing a great campaign plan, they were ready to go. I will always be thankful for your hard work and commitment to me and the residents for Burnaby.

To my wife Jennifer and to my kids, thank you for the constant encouragement, over the past four years and your support to seek a second term. I wouldn’t be here today without your support.

I do not take the responsibility I have as Mayor lightly. As your Mayor, I respect and want to hear from every Burnaby resident. Your interests are my priority every day. I look forward to getting back to work and serving you for another four years together with the strong team you elect to Council.
